       AROUND THE DIOCESE

On Sunday, 11-6-11 St John's Fort Worth inducted six new members into the Order of Divine Mercy. Welcome Vivian Potts, Melinda Optiz, Nancy Pomeroy, Shelly Lowe, Lou Partin and Jane Cox. The order now has 60 members.

Nov 2011 - St Matthias of Dallas inducted 5 new members -Dixie Turnbull, GayNell Rippel, Tiffany Wright, Lisa Crain and Jo Neese (making their chapter total 30 members), and six Junior Daughters!  They have our only official Junior DOK Chapter in the Diocese. CONGRATS!!!

Dec10, 2011 - the DOK and DHC of Good Shepherd Wichita Falls hosted a study of the women of Advent and decorated a tabletop Christmas tree to give to an ill parishoner.

The girls have jumped right into the spirit of the season, and spent an entire morning, bundling and pairing socks to give to the Austin Street Shelter. They have just completed
a community project helping a local vetinerary clinic provide for unwanted anmals.
I can tell you I am so very proud of this group of young ladies.
